The main problem faced by today’s teacher is that they feel students are loosing interest in studies. If we look from the student’s perspective then students feel that whatever is taught to them in schools is boring. Being a teacher, I faced these problems and tried to solve them. Based on my experiences, some of the solutions to increase interest and curiosity in students towards studies are:
How can a teacher manage to find time during the day to get things done? In providing teacher time management training for school districts, I recognize that using time management in education at the teacher level is difficult because you face unique challenges: Your time is booked every day. There is no leeway in altering a class schedule, so you must work within the very limited planning periods.
Thirty seven years spent in an ordinary average classroom has given me a lot of insight into what is a teacher friendly program. Teacher friendly programs realize that teachers are always under the gun when it comes to time. Their time for putting on a program is very limited with all the other things that require their time.
As an adjunct education professor I am often asked, "How do I motivate students to learn?" Motivating students to learn is a struggle that all teachers face. Since I also teach middle school social studies it is the challenge I personally face everyday. The truth is motivating students to learn is one of the key components of effective teaching AND classroom management.
If your classroom webpage isn't making your job easier, or helping you do it better, maybe its time to evaluate and consider some changes. People today are busy, and teachers are no exception. Either are students and parents for that matter. We all want information quick, easy, and pertinent. And that is exactly what a teacher website must do. If it fails, then valuable time, and maybe resources, are being spent without accomplishing an important goal.
